Coaching Manifesto

1. Be here now:  it is only by being fully present that I can be of service to the teachers I support.

2.  Teachers and teams have the answers:  it is my job as a coach to ask relevant and meaningful questions to guide teachers and their teams to find solutions to their concerns.

3.  Words are powerful and drive our thoughts and actions:  words can be powerful agents for change.  To this end I strive to listen actively and guide meaningful conversations.

4.  Karma yoga:  the path of karma yoga is the path of action which serves a higher ideal.  My ideal is to always serve teachers and students with love, understanding, and compassion.

5.  Observation is key: it is only through careful observation that I can fully understand the dynamics in place in a classroom.

6. Change is Possible:  In the words of the great Mahatma Gandi, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."  Through consistent hard work, compassion, and understanding, we can make a difference in the lives of our students, their families and the communities in which we live.
